Conservation, community, and unforgettable wilderness encounters
geyser-beam emerged from fifteen years of field experience in South Africa's most renowned wildlife areas. Our founder worked as a ranger, tracker, and lodge manager before recognising a gap in the market: travellers seeking authentic connections with nature rather than checkbox tourism.
We established our first mobile camp in 2014 with a single converted Land Rover and a vision of safari experiences that prioritise depth over distance. Rather than racing between lodges to tick off sightings, we believed in staying longer, observing more carefully, and understanding the intricate relationships that sustain these ecosystems.
Today, we operate across four concessions spanning 80,000 hectares of prime wildlife habitat. Our growth has been deliberate, expanding only when we could maintain the intimate, knowledgeable approach that defines every geyser-beam safari.
Every safari directly contributes to protecting these wild spaces for future generations.
A fixed percentage of every booking funds ranger patrols, equipment, and training programmes across our operating areas.
We sponsor education programmes that teach local children about wildlife value, creating the next generation of conservationists.
Our guides contribute sighting data to ongoing studies tracking animal populations, migration patterns, and ecosystem health.
